Press release:

JUNIQO Invest buys 225 apartments

Investments of 15 million euros in Leipzig, Halle, Magdeburg, Erfurt and Altenburg

The Berlin-based investor and transaction specialist JUNIQO Invest GmbH, in cooperation with a Bavarian partner, has purchased nine apartment buildings with a total of 225 residential units in several individual transactions. The investment volume was around 15 million euros. All properties were acquired for the company’s own portfolio.

The nine residential properties have a total rental area of 15,300 square meters. Three buildings are located in Magdeburg, two each in Halle and Altenburg, and one each in Erfurt and Leipzig. The acquisition of further properties in these cities is currently being examined.

The properties are mostly refurbished Gründerzeit buildings in inner-city locations. Overall, the occupancy rate is over 95 percent. After necessary renovation measures, the few vacant apartments will be offered on the housing market again in the short term.

For JUNIQO, this is another significant investment and an expansion of its own portfolio. The company has already invested 21 million euros in six apartment buildings in Berlin in the summer of 2021. In addition to Berlin, JUNIQO is focusing on building a nationwide portfolio for further diversification.

“We are very pleased that we were once again able to successfully invest in residential properties due to our good network,” explains Nino Nowack, Managing Director and founder of JUNIQO Invest. “Residential space, especially in the affordable segment, is scarce throughout Germany. It is precisely in this segment that we have our core competence. We are observing good demand in the major eastern German cities in particular, so we are very positive about future developments. In our current acquisitions, we have focused on good building stock with a stable tenant base. Our goal is to build a portfolio of stable value in the long term in good locations in each city.”

JUNIQO Invest specializes in managing and structuring real estate transactions. For purchases, the focus is not only on residential and commercial properties, but also on project developments with a volume of up to 50 million euros for the company’s own portfolio. Geographically, JUNIQO Invest concentrates on Berlin, Leipzig and other central locations in large and medium-sized German cities.
